A journey through colour, memory and experimentation

Private residence, Milan
2023

This project unfolds as an invitation to travel: an interplay of opulent colours, sophisticated textures and a vibrant balance between vintage and contemporary, exploring new aesthetic boundaries.

The homeowners, a young Milan-based couple, envisioned an apartment with a playful, light and fresh character, capable of accommodating their collection of artworks, paintings and family heirlooms.

Before the creative phase, a targeted spatial reconfiguration was required. A glass partition placed at the centre of the living area defines functions without enclosing them, dividing and at the same time connecting the spaces, allowing light to flow freely throughout the home.

The interiors develop along a subtle balance between traditional and contemporary aesthetics, built around a sophisticated and artistic palette. Petrol blue and acid green emerge as key elements: from the entrance corridor to the living and kitchen areas, where blue, light mint and acid green interact in elegant combinations across walls and furnishings.

Many elements were custom-designed, strengthening the connection between space and its inhabitants. The bathroom becomes a playful episode, featuring custom tiles inspired by Japanese patterns and designed specifically for this project. The bedroom echoes the tones of the apartment, with an acid-green upholstered headboard and a bespoke petrol-painted wardrobe.

Finally, the furnishings combine industrial pieces, bespoke elements and antiques, creating a carefully curated mix that gives the home a unique, personal and ever-evolving identity.
